I have been abroad since 2008. Embarking on my undergraduate study in National University of Singapore (NUS) on a full scholarship from 2010 to 2014, I chose to study mechanical engineering as I was fascinated by how numerous small gears and chains drove machines to work. Based on my Final Year Project, I co-authored two papers published on high class scientific journals. I signed myself up for a double degree program in engineering and business administration, since mastering merely technical knowledge was not sufficient to excel.
After graduation, I became a logistics procurement manager in an MNC Asia Pacific headquarter in Singapore from 2014 to 2017. I obtained hands-on experience in procurement and operation in such a company that was a classical supply chain case on textbooks. Eyeing the dynamism of the logistics industry as a whole, I joined a well-known Consulting firm as a supply chain analyst from 2017 to 2018. Our team provides professional consulting services, specialized in benchmarking, network design and optimization. This is a place where the theories meet reality.
Loving the way how on-the-book supply chain management theories apply to real life, I applied Supply Chain Management Master Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018. All the materials were prepared by myself. I just obtained the master degree in Jun 2019, with a GPA 4.9/5.0. After graduation, I will move to New York and continue my consulting career in one of the top consulting firms as a senior analyst.
